How to Start Your Live Webinar: A Step-by-Step Guide

Once your webinar is set up and published and your registrants have arrived, getting started is straightforward. We recommend entering the webinar studio about 15-30 minutes before the scheduled time to familiarize yourself and prepare.

Industrial Use Case: Industries like marketing and education use live webinars to engage with a large audience in real time.

Benefits:

  • Enhances real-time interaction - Allows direct communication with the audience, fostering engagement.
  • Saves time and resources - Reduces travel and venue costs associated with traditional events.

Before starting your webinar, ensure your mic and camera are configured. Then, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the webinar studio.

  • On the My Webinars page, find the webinar you wish to start and click Enter Studio to the right of the webinar.

  • For live webinars in a series, click Show All, then click the play icon to the right of the individual webinar to enter the studio.

Step 2: Test your devices.

  • A window will pop up, allowing you to test your devices. Here you'll find the microphone meter, camera preview, and the Test button for your audio output.

  • When you’re ready to meet your audience, click Enter Studio.

Step 3: Start the webinar.

  • Once you're ready, click Start Broadcast in the upper right corner of the video screen. This will automatically start recording your webinar.

Note that you can only start the broadcast once the webinar is published, from up to 30 minutes before the start time. Beyond 30 minutes, the Start Broadcast button is grayed out.

  • Clicking Start Broadcast before the scheduled time will require confirmation. Once you start broadcasting, you cannot restart.

Note: If you want to see how everything works before your live webinar, we suggest creating a test webinar first.

Step 4: End the webinar.

When you're done, click End Broadcast.

The following screen will appear.
