How to Create a Coupon Code For Your Webinar

 

Looking to offer special discounts for your webinars? This guide walks you through creating, editing, and sharing coupon codes—helping you boost enrollments and reward your loyal subscribers with ease.

 

Offer limited-time discounts or reward loyal subscribers using special coupon codes. You can provide discounts as either a fixed monetary amount or a percentage, set custom validity periods, and specify an expiration date.

 

Use Case: Imagine you’re launching a new photography webinar. To encourage early sign-ups, you create a 20% off coupon for the first wave of registrants. This not only builds momentum but also rewards your most eager attendees.

Setting up coupon codes

 

Step 1: Click the Account Settings icon on the left sidebar, then click Coupons.

 

 

Step 2: Click Create a new coupon.

 

 

Step 3: Enter the Coupon Name which will serve as your reference. This could be different from the coupon code below.

 

 

Step 4: Choose if you want the Discount Type as Percentage or Fixed Amount.

 

 

Note:

  • For a Percentage coupon, the price is reduced by that percent.
  • For Fixed Amount, enter the actual value of the discount.

 

For this example, we will use a 20% discount.

 

 

Step 5: Enter the unique Coupon Code. This can be an alphanumeric combination or a word that attendees will enter during the checkout process when purchasing your webinar.

 

 

Step 6: Choose 'No expiry date' for indefinite validity or 'Custom' to specify start and end dates.

 

 

Step 7: Next, indicate the number of times the coupon code can be used:

 

Unlimited: The coupon code can be used an unlimited number of times but is still subject to the specified timeframe.

 

Limit to: The number of times the coupon code can be redeemed.

 

 

Step 8: Choose 'All Webinars' to apply the coupon universally or select a specific webinar.

 

 

Step 9: Click 'Create' to save the new coupon code.

 


To Edit Your Coupon Code

 

Step 1: Go to your Coupons page to view all the coupon codes you've created for your webinars.

 

Step 2: To change a coupon code, click on the pencil icon on the right side.

 

 

Step 3: In the pop-up window, make your changes and click 'Update.'

 

 

Step 4: If you wish to remove a coupon code permanently, click on the trash can icon.

 

 

Step 5: To temporarily deactivate, toggle the 'Active' switch.

 

 

Note: Once a coupon code is deleted or inactive, it won't be applicable on the checkout page any longer.

 

To Share Your Coupon Code

 

Step 1: Go to your Coupons page within your account.

 

 

Step 2: Select the specific coupon code you wish to share, and click on Copy next to that code.

 

 

Step 3: Paste the copied coupon code into your email campaign, advertisement, landing page, website, and across all your marketing channels.

 

How it works

 

Here’s how people sign up for your paid webinar with a coupon.

 

  • Attendees click the 'Register' button and enter their name and email address.
  • Attendees can enter the coupon code.
  • The next screen will show a confirmation message and the reduced price if the coupon code was successfully applied.


     
  • Attendees then follow the prompt to continue and complete the Signup process.
