Edit the Email Notifications for Your Course

Personalize the email notifications for your course on CourseNinja.

Students will receive two email notifications after they registered for a course. The registration confirmation email and another email with all the information about the course like the date and time of each session.

You can customize the email notification content or add more.

The Default Email Sequence

Course Email Notifications

  1. Course Registration Confirmation: sent immediately after registration

2. Course Info: sent immediately after registration.

Sessions Email Notifications

  1. Your Session Is Starting Now: sent 5 minutes before the start time

  2. Your Session Is Today: sent at 8:00 AM on the day of your session or 3 hours before your start time, if earlier than 8:00 AM

  3. Thanks for Attending: sent 2 hours after session end time to students who attended

  4. You Missed It: sent 2 hours after session end time to students who didn't make it to your session

Getting to the email editor

Find the course for which you want to edit email notifications in My Courses then click Manage Course to the right of the course title.

Click Email Notifications. This is where you can find and edit the registration confirmation email for the entire course.

Editing email notifications

From here, you'll find the email notifications for the course.

Click View Email beside the Course Registration Confirmation to see more details.

Note: This Course Registration Confirmation email is automatically sent to all registrants and cannot be edited or disabled as it contains vital information necessary for the students to access their accounts and attend the course sessions.

To edit the rest of the email notifications, click Edit Email to the right of the email.

Edit the subject and message body as you wish.

Note: Images and HTML codes are not supported. Plain text formatting is available.

Use any of the tags on the right to automatically populate the email with course details. Simply click to add.

If you want, you can disable this email and prevent it from sending by clicking the Send this email notification toggle.

Or save this email as default for all future courses of the same type by clicking the Save this content for use in future courses toggle.

You can also send a test email to yourself to see how it looks like. Click the Send Test Email button and it will be sent to your account email address.

Note: The course link from a test email is a dummy link. In the actual email, your students will receive their unique course link.

When you're done, click Save.

Reset Email Notifications to Default

From the email editor. Click the Reset to default below the email subject or/and below the message body.

When you're done, click Save.

This action will remove all your saved changes and will reset the email notification to the original content.

Note: These changes will apply to all future courses.
