This help article guides you through the various screen layout options available in CourseNinja, enabling you to optimize your viewing and interaction during courses. Whether you are presenting slides, sharing screens, playing videos, or interacting with students, managing your screen layout can significantly enhance the experience for everyone involved.

Imagine you are conducting a webinar where you need to present slides and engage with multiple students. Depending on the content and interaction required, you might want to switch between showing your slides as the main focus or having an equal view of all participants.

To Manage Screen Layout
When you open screen share, slides, play a video, or have students on screen, you can choose how these are laid out and appear.
Step 1: Click the layout icon on the left menu to view available layout options.
Step 2: Select Layout:
- Presenter Below View: Shows one maximized stream with smaller streams underneath. Ideal for lectures where the focus is on the presentation slides.
- Presenter Left View: Displays one maximized stream with smaller streams on the left side. Suitable for interactive sessions.
- Gallery View: Shows two or more streams of equal size, perfect for group discussions or when multiple speakers are involved.
Step 3: Maximizing a Specific Stream
- Expand View: Hover over the stream you want to maximize and click the expand icon. This action will hide other streams temporarily.
- Restore View: Click the expand icon again to restore the previously hidden streams to their original size.
Step 4: Adjusting Side Panels
- Hide Chat Area: To make your screen larger and reduce distractions, click the collapse arrow on the right side of your screen to hide the chat area.
- Reopen Chat Area: Click back on the collapse arrow from the engagement tools menu to bring back the chat area when needed.
