Some Mac computers may have issues with Share Screen. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take.

Follow these steps one by one. After each step, see if the issue is fixed.

A. Make sure that your Mac is up to date.

B. Restart your Mac by going to Apple menu > Restart.

C. Update your browser. Check to see if there is an update available.

D. Quit all running apps and then try again.

E. Force quit the browser and reopen it. Here is how:

  1. Press the Option, Command, and Esc (Escape) keys
  2. This will open the Force Quit window
  3. Find the browser then click the Force Quit button

F. This issue may be caused by security permissions. Here is how you can edit permissions:

  1. Click the Apple menu
  2. Click System Preferences
  3. Click Security & Privacy
  4. Click the Privacy tab
  5. Click Screen Recording (left options menu)
  6. Click the lock icon to make changes (you will need to enter your admin password)
  7. Click the checkbox next to the browser that you are having problems with
  8. There will be a prompt to restart the browser. Restart the browser to apply the changes.

G. If you are still having this problem, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Activity Monitor
  2. If you can find the process called “NetAuthAgent,” select it.
  3. Click Quit Process
