How to Create an Anonymous Webinar
Create a more private and distraction-free webinar experience by controlling attendee visibility and interactions. WebinarNinja lets you hide attendee counts and disable chat and private messaging, helping attendees stay focused on your presentation.
Whether you're hosting a training session, coaching program, or professional webinar, these settings give you greater control over attendee participation and engagement.
Watch this short video for a visual guide on hiding the attendee count in your webinar:
Benefits:
- Support Confidential or Exclusive Events: Limit attendee visibility and interactions for sensitive discussions or invite-only sessions.
- Reduce Moderator Workload: Eliminate the need to actively monitor attendee conversations and private messages.
- Maintain Control Over Engagement: Decide when and how attendees can interact based on your webinar goals.
Example:
An IT organization is hosting a webinar on a sensitive business topic for a select group of attendees. To maintain confidentiality and minimize distractions, the host hides the attendee count and disables chat and private messaging. This ensures attendees remain focused on the presentation while limiting unnecessary interactions throughout the session.
Steps to Create an Anonymous Webinar
Step 1: Access the Webinar Studio
-
Go to My Webinars.
-
Locate the webinar you want to configure and click Show Sessions.
-
Select the desired webinar session and click Go to Studio.
Step 2: Open Studio Preferences
-
When the Webinar Studio opens, the Configure Studio Settings pop-up appears automatically.
-
Alternatively, click the three-dot menu below the webinar screen and select Video & Audio Settings.
Step 3: Hide the Attendee Count
-
Navigate to the Preferences tab (formerly labeled Advanced Settings) land locate the Show attendees count in attendee page option and turn the toggle off.
This hides the attendee count from attendees during the webinar.
Alternatively, in the Webinar Studio, click the ellipsis (...) next to the Chat tab, then uncheck Show attendee count.
Step 4: Disable Chat
-
In the Preferences tab, locate Enable chat and turn the toggle off.
This prevents attendees from participating in webinar chat conversations.
Step 5: Disable Private Messaging
-
Clear the checkbox labeled "Allow attendees to send me private messages."
-
Click Save Settings to apply your changes.
-
You can re-enable chat and private messaging at any time by returning to the same settings.
The webinar will now provide a more private experience by hiding attendee counts and restricting attendee interactions.
That's all about creating an anonymous webinar in WebinarNinja. Please contact our support team if you encounter any issues or questions.
